Five Event Venues We Always Love Coming Back To
One of the best parts of running Sunflower Dream Studio is getting to see many event spaces in action. Not just when they are empty and staged for a tour, but also when they are full of people, laughter, timelines, catering trays, dance-floor chaos, aunties with opinions, and guests who suddenly decide the photo booth is their new favorite place.
There are so many beautiful venues across Western Washington, and every event has its own magic. This list is not about saying one place is better than another. These are just a few venues we have been lucky enough to visit more than once and always enjoy returning to.
1. The Woodmark Hotel & Still Spa — Kirkland, WA
The Woodmark is one of those venues where you arrive and immediately feel like the event is going to be special. Being right on Lake Washington gives everything a softer, more elevated feeling. There is something about the water, the light, and the view that makes guests slow down for a second and actually take it all in.
For weddings, cocktail hours, and polished private events, The Woodmark has that classic waterfront energy without feeling stuffy. It feels refined, but still warm. Guests can wander, enjoy the view, grab a drink, and then come back ready to celebrate.
Also, we need to be honest: the lamb chop appetizers live rent-free in our minds. We are professionals, but we are also human. When a venue has great views and memorable snacks, it deserves a spot on the list.
From a photo booth perspective, we love spaces where guests are already in a good mood before they step in front of the camera. The Woodmark does that naturally. The whole environment feels like a celebration before the party even really starts.
2. Trinity Tree Farm — Issaquah, WA
Trinity Tree Farm has a completely different kind of magic. It feels fresh, outdoorsy, cozy, and very Pacific Northwest in the best way. The setting has trees, open space, and the “we escaped the city without going too far” feeling that guests love.
We especially love that it gives couples and hosts room to create a personal event. The Lodge and The Barn each have their own character, and the property offers a natural backdrop that never feels forced. When guests arrive, they immediately understand the vibe.
And come on — who does not love being outside on a tree farm, ending the night with s’mores? There is something wonderfully nostalgic about it. It is elegant, but it still lets people relax, laugh, and be a little playful.
For a photo booth, Trinity Tree Farm is a dream because the venue already gives guests permission to have fun. People are dressed up, but they are not afraid to lean into the moment. Those are the events where the best photos happen.
3. Farm 12 — Puyallup, WA
Farm 12 is one of those venues that feels connected to the community. It is beautiful, but it is also purposeful. There is a heart behind the place, and you can feel that in the way events come together there.
The greenhouse setting is such a standout. A wedding in a greenhouse just has a built-in romance to it. You get soft light, greenery, texture, and a space that already feels alive before any decor is added. It is one of those venues where the room does a lot of the storytelling on its own.
And then there is the food. Farm-to-table is one of those phrases that gets used a lot, but Farm 12 really makes the food feel like part of the event experience. Guests remember a great meal. They talk about it at the table, bring it up later, and it becomes part of the day's memory.
We love Farm 12 because it works for the kind of event that wants to feel beautiful without feeling overly formal. It has style, substance, and just enough charm to make guests feel comfortable jumping into the photo booth between dinner and dancing.
4. Historic 1625 Tacoma Place — Tacoma, WA
Historic 1625 is one of those Tacoma venues that has instant character. Exposed brick, warm lighting, natural textures, and a layout that works well for weddings, galas, fundraisers, and big celebrations.
What we love most is that the venue feels event-ready without feeling generic. It has personality. You do not have to work hard to make it feel special, because the space already has so much atmosphere.
We have been there for multiple types of events, and it always seems to handle the energy well. Guests can move, mingle, find the bar, find the dance floor, and, most importantly for us, find the photo booth. It is the kind of venue where a gold sparkle backdrop, a classic glam setup, or a custom event design all feel right at home.
For fundraisers and weddings especially, Historic 1625 has that balance of polished and inviting. It photographs well, it feels local, and it gives events a sense of occasion without making the night feel too formal.
5. Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle’s Southport — Renton, WA
Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle’s Southport is another venue where the water does a lot of the heavy lifting. The Lake Washington location gives events a clean, modern, scenic feel, and it works especially well for corporate celebrations, holiday parties, and larger gatherings.
We have seen this venue work beautifully for groups that want a more elevated guest experience. There is space, polish, and that hotel-event convenience that makes the night easier for everyone. Guests can arrive, park, celebrate, and enjoy the evening without feeling like they are being shuffled through a complicated setup.
From our side, we appreciate venues that can support a smooth flow. Photo booths are at their best when guests can naturally find them, use them, and keep the party moving. Hyatt Regency Lake Washington offers an event environment where a booth can feel like part of the overall experience rather than an afterthought.
It is a great fit for brands, companies, and hosts who want the event to feel put together from start to finish.
Final Thoughts
We always say that a photo booth is not just about taking pictures. It is about creating a place where guests loosen up, laugh, reconnect, and walk away with something they actually want to keep.
The venue sets the tone for that. Whether it is waterfront elegance, a cozy tree farm, a greenhouse dinner, historic Tacoma charm, or a modern hotel celebration, the best spaces help guests feel like they are part of something memorable.
We are grateful every time we get invited into these venues, and we love seeing how each couple, company, school, or nonprofit makes the space their own.
Planning an event at one of these places? We would love to help bring the photo booth fun.
